Probiotics are worth a try. They can not hurt, they can help. But it is best if you get them from a health food store in pill form, because if you get it in the form of yogurt is a lot of sugar that your grandmother probably did not need.

With so many choices of multivitamins and supplements out there, What exactly should I look for in a multivitamin or a supplement? A friend told me that multivitamins brand Wal-Mart does not do anything because they do not get enough vitamins and minerals in it. What is the difference between this and something that costs 3x as much to a health food or vitamin store? Is this really necessary as expensive, or is he entitled to take something from Walmart? Also, who are supplements necessary? I take flax / fish oil and borage supplements daily along with my multivitamin. Ive also heard things about probiotics and digestive enzymes. Are these good to take as well? What types or does this matter? If someone is a dietician who can accurately explain the difference of vitamins and supplements, it would be great!

Well, the brand I use most often is called Natures Plus. I buy at my store Local food. I always buy from there instead of Wal Mart because I've heard the same thing as you. I take a multivitamin tablet calcium (most people never have enough) Also, I suggest taking acidophulis (great for digestion). L Lysine is good for your immunity. Also a great vitamin B complex is great for overall health and energy. I gave you a list of those I do take it really depends on how you eat. You may already be getting enough nutrients. I was diagnosed with IBS several years ago, but since my background twenties (late thirties now) not really caused too many problems when you're stressed. But for the past month agonizing pain low right abdomen. Summer docs and had scan which showed nothing but a huge amount of gas in this region. I eat fairly well and try to eat fruits, probiotics daily drink and take the juice of aloe vera, but sometimes the pain is really bad. It seems to coincide with a feeling a little constiptated but manage to spend small amounts throughout the day. It hurts especially when I sit on something hard and when I get up and as up and down stairs all that seems to shake the stomach / intestine. Any ideas what I can do? Take Buscopan but that only works with cramps. Sewing Sensation as pain.
