Does anyone know any holistic / natural remedies for a collapse of the trachea of a 15 year old Pomeranian?
My baby has a collapsed trachea and I just wondered if anyone has any suggestions or holistic wellness to help relieve coughs and help it heal. It is on probiotics Omega, the choice of food types and evo, a multi, chondroitin and glucosomine — just curious whether anyone else has had luck with relief of symptoms. She whistles only when she is excited and has no real difficulty breathing when she is calm and relaxed, just after drinking too much or excited. Thank you!
From what I read there is no cure Overall for this condition, it is usually treated with weight loss, management of concurrent lung disease, and possibly anti-inflammatory, antitussive and bronchial medication. Despite some progress drug dogs to become candidates for surgery. I'm sure you have already consulted a veterinarian, but if you do not I recommend you do.
