colitis in cats. How to treat? it only gets worse. our vet is no help.?
is happy cat 6 years old and neutered. He was in good health until last summer and was diagnosed with colitis. He has been on prednosone and antibiotics and not getting better. He lost so much weight. another vet says the Internet to feed that baby food electrolyte and children and send to all natural prebiotics and probiotics to get the good bacteria back in his intestines. he has loose stools with blood and mucous membranes and instead of the litter, it goes all over the house. it is both indoor / outdoor cat. he does drink lots of water. we have 7 other cats and 3 dogs, but he has been with them for many years. causes of colitis? I heard that stress causes it and I think it probably his problem. please help. our vet is a loss for a solution so that we may have to go to the clinic in Ohio State. Thank you, lakegirl
You are quite right to stress can bring on symptoms of colitis, but can not be wrong Food .. You do not mention not that kind of food the cat is on???
